Irving "Irv" Harada
July 28, 1957 ~ October 1, 2008
Activant Staff Engineer ~ January 21, 1980
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irv Harada after a brief battle with cancer. Irv was a consummate professional whose quiet confidence helped our business and our customers through many challenges during his 28 years with the company.
Irv began his career with Triad in Sunnyvale and worked on the flagship Automotive S12 product at both the application and system levels. When the company launched its first UNIX products in the early 90’s, Irv was recruited to the Eagle team and was a founding member of the platform group for the Eagle and PRISM product lines. He also became an expert on credit card processing and was a great partner to our support teams, providing technology and support for over 3000 Eagle credit card customers.
Irv was always ready to help in any area—with customers, with other Activant groups, with engineers, and with new products and new challenges. We will miss him greatly.

Max in 2005 |
Max Lynch passed away on June 6, 2008 in Columbus Ohio of complications due to lung cancer. It was very sudden. He'd been treated with radiation and released to go home, but he survived only about 6 weeks before a blood clot released, causing a pulmonary embolism.
Max was 15 year veteran at Triad in finance. He retired in 1998, and relocated to his home state of Ohio to be near his mother in Springfield. He is survived by three children; Jenny (27), Jeff (26), and Sean (21).
Christie (ever the writer) looked at this picture of Max and wrote this poem to help remember him:

Ray Lahore
December 13, 1949 – June 4, 2007
Ray started at Triad on October 3, 1973 as Triad's employee number 13 as a Development Engineer.
His contribution to the success of Triad and Activant during his 34 year tour of duty was consistent and would be hard to measure
Ray was one of the original Series 10 programmers and for many years was the primary communications engineer for Triad Automotive and Hardlines products.
For the past decade Ray has been responsible for developing and operating a data collection network across thousands of Eagle systems to support Activant Vista and our Hardlines national account partners.
Ray’s commitment and dedication to his customers was exceptional. He will be fondly remembered, and sorely missed.

Linda Vasquez
Senior Administrative Assistant - Facilities
August 9, 1950 - August 8, 2005
Linda Vasquez lost her battle with cancer on August 8th 2005.
Linda started at Triad in 1991, and stayed on through the transition of CCI-Triad to become an Activant employee. 14 years in total of great service in the Triad tradition. Her caring heart for anyone in need, and her joyful attitude that brought a ray of sunshine to all who had the pleasure of working with her.
Linda touched many lives - her title may have been Administrative Assistant for Facilities but Linda believed her job was to help anyone who asked for assistance with a smile and a joyful attitude. It has been said by many that Linda was the nicest person you could ever know ... her associates couldn't agree more.
